Sneak peek at part of my =ScaryAtton "Toys" mini-challenge entry. Still plenty of shading to do on it, which is why I cropped it down.

What's he up to? :hmm: I know I haven't given away much, but if anyone guesses correctly they get a custom-themed Jaq ficlet.

Is that a bullwhip over his shoulder? Yikes! :D

I have no idea what he's doing, but I'll guess poisoning because it's a theme with me lately. ;)

Also, I really like the way you drew his mouth. I can't explain why it stands out, but it really does! :)

Oh, thank you for the fav and feedback! It is a whip. I have a thing about Jaq and a whip. It's so very low-tech and visceral. =P

It's not poison, but it surely could have been. ;) In an old pre-KotOR story I did write about a weapon/tool (the claw) that fits over his thumb that holds an ampule of poison or other liquid, though. I kind of wish I'd included it now.

I'm happy with his mouth too, so I seriously hope I don't screw it up in the final shading process. :fingerscrossed:

I'm looking forward to the final! I have such a thing for Atton's hands so I want to know what he's doing. :) It's weird too, because I don't actually have a thing for hands in real life. For Atton, I imagine that his hands are really nimble and expressive - long fingered and often leather-gloved. I see them giving away more of his character than he realizes. I love the idea of the claw too - handy for getting up close to people. :)

I'm the same regarding his hands, and they always hang me up when trying to draw them. In this one his hands are closed, but I keep wanting to draw his fingers. :XD:
